Number of mortgage delinquencies his record high

The MBA, Mortgage Banker Association, reports the highest number of delinquencies in the third quarter of 2009 in 37 years.  The record breaking delinquency rate dates back to 1972. Loans that are at least one payment past due are included in the figure but not those that are in the foreclosure process.

The number of loans that are in the foreclosure process for the third quarter of 2009 is 4.47 percent.

Number of loans delinquent is 9.64, plus the number of loans that are in the foreclosure process, 4.47  percent  is a total of 14.41 percent.  More than one in ten loans are late with payments or getting foreclose on.    This numbers are for the third quarter of 2009!
